We are volunteer group that teaches tennis as a platform for mentoring and community building to at-risk youth in four public housing communities in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn. Every Saturday from 12:30 - 3:00, May-October, we literally bring tennis to the kids by setting up temporary tennis courts within their communities. Each community comprises a tennis "club", with its own team jersey, and volunteer group. At the end of each season we put on a tennis jamboree with free T-shirts, trophies, and BBQ. …

Metropolitan Tennis Group (MTG) is a not-for-profit Lesbian, Gay, Bi-Sexual, Transgender (LGBT) organization formed to provide its membership with expanded opportunities to play recreational and competitive tennis.
